As cool as the switch unit on the EX and MX looks, it's all the more annoying when you land in the dirt for the first time and the buttons get stuck.
The Stark Vark switch unit is really well made, but unfortunately not very suitable for off-road use. At the Romaniacs 2025, our rider (Martin Dosch, who won the electric class) had a crash and fine dust got into the push buttons, which meant that the buttons could no longer be operated or were partially stuck. This is a real problem, as the button at the bottom left is essential for activating the bike! Many riders are also familiar with the problem of buttons getting stuck in motocross mud races.
No tools required, very easy to install and remove.
Does not interfere with the operation of the buttons.
Protects against scratches, water, dust, and mud.

Schutzkappen überzeugen
Ich habe die Schutzkappen auf der Schaltereinheit meiner Varg EX montiert — lässt sich super drüberziehen und sitzt gut. Die Schutzkappen fühlen sich robust und gut verarbeitet an und schließen die Bauteile rundum ab, so dass weder Dreck noch Wasser eindringen können. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass der Einbau super unkompliziert und fix erledigt war.
